UA: PBC launches national selection for Junior Eurovision 2021

UA: PBC announces a call for entries for the Ukrainian national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021. To participate, children can submit the performance of either their own original song or one of the songs offered by UA: PBC. Applications will be collected until 19 September.

To ensure equal conditions of participation, UA: PBC gives the national selection participants an opportunity to submit a video recording of performance of either their own song or one of the following:

  • a Ukrainian folk song;
  • a song of one of the representatives of Ukraine at Junior Eurovision in 2015-2020;
  • a song of UA: PBC;
  • vocalizing.

At stage one, an application can be submitted on the national website junior.eurovision.ua. Children aged 9 to 14 that are nationals or residents of Ukraine are eligible to participate in the national selection.

12 to 16 finalists will be selected from among the applications that comply with the national selection rules. Those participants that submitted the performance of a non-original song at stage one of the selection will receive a new original song from UA: PBC for the final.

The winner will be decided in a televised national final to be broadcast by UA:KULTURA public TV channel. The decision will be made by the combination of professional jury and online voting.

To ensure audiovisual production within the project of Junior Eurovision 2021, UA:KULTURA has launched a creative competition among production companies.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 will be broadcast live on UA:KULTURA on 19 December.
