TVM has announced the finalists of the “Malta Junior Eurovision Contest” preselection who aspire to represent Malta in Paris on December 19.
The candidate songs are as follows:

- Drops like fire
- Good things
- Heartbeat
- Keep your drama
- Limitless
- MAGIC
- My Angels Calling
- My Home
- ON MY WAY
- Once in a Lifetime
- Running Free
- SHOOTING STAR
- When you're my age
- WILD AND FREE
A jury of experts has selected the 20 songs from among all the candidates that have been submitted. On September 26, the 12 that go to the grand final of the format will be announced. These twelve will compete to become the next representative of Malta in Junior Eurovision 2021 and they will do so at a live gala on October 9 . The winner will be decided in a mixed system in which 50% will be chosen by televoting and the other 50% will go to a professional jury.
All the candidates between 9 and 14 years old , had to present their unpublished songs written in Maltese or English , the official languages of the country, before September 1.
